The 3 Greatest NFL Superbowl Records For Passing
Posted by admin in Super Bowl on January 11, 2012
There’s one singular sporting event that has vaulted to the top of the world’s mind. That event is the Super Bowl of American style football. It’s become a spectacle for both men and women to watch for a multitude of reasons. For me it’s a great way to visit with friends and see some great athletes do some absolutely amazing things more often than not. With a buddy who works at the NFL network, there was a recent discussion about the 3 greatest NFL Superbowl records for passing the ball. This is what we felt stuck out.
The first record that comes to mind has to be the most passing yards in a single Super Bowl game. That is currently held by Kurt Warner who threw for 414 yards in Super Bowl XXXIV. That’s over four football fields of yards in a single game. A massive feat that was accomplished by a quarterback that went undrafted out of University level football. He got his start in Arena Football and worked his way up through the ranks of AFL and the NFL’s European leagues to make it to the St. Louis Rams to begin his NFL career. Amazing climb to grab that Super Bowl record.
The second top passing record we feel belongs to Steve Young. He threw for 6 touchdowns in a single game in Super Bowl XXIX. The feat has Steve surpassing the quarterback he was backup to, Joe Montana. Steve, like Kurt, had a storied career that required a long road of moving around a couple of leagues and teams before he hit his stride in the famed performance of XXIX. Super Bowl Squares – How to Play – Free Football Pool Grid

Liven up your next football party by organizing Super Bowl Squares, a game of chance that everyone can play.
Preparing The Super Bowl Grid
To play Super Bowl Squares, you need 100 squares (ten by ten grid) on a piece of paper. Download one at the link below or you can make your own. Each square should be large enough to allow your guests to write in their names.
Charge a certain amount for each square ($1.00 is very common; $100 pot value) and allow your guests to randomly write their name in the number of boxes purchased (ex. $5.00 gets them 5 squares).
Once the Super Bowl grid is completely filled in with guest names, put the name of one football team (we’ll call them Team 1) across the top of the grid and the opposing team name (Team 2) down the left side.
Now it’s time to choose numbers for the Super Bowl Squares. Using the ace through ten from a deck of cards (the ten will be the zero), have somebody randomly draw cards and place the number at the top of a column in the Super Bowl grid. Shuffle the cards and do the same thing down the side of the grid. Read the rest of this entry »
